摘要: Background: Genome-wide association studies have identified 15q25 and 5p15 as lung cancer risk chromosomal regions in whites. The genetic structures of these loci differ between Asians whites, however, indicating the need for additional Asian populations. To examine impact 15p25 on smoking intensity, we conducted a case-control study Japanese population. We also examined whether modify effect behavior risk. Methods: Subjects were 716 patients with controls. Associations by logistic regression models adjustment potential confounders. Results: found that variants rs12914385 rs931794 modified cumulative tobacco but two showed no statistically significant main effects Compared never without allele rs931794, odds ratio heavy was 4.03 (95% confidence interval: 2.45–6.62) 8.09 (5.09–12.9), joint rs931734 consumption ( p interaction = 0.021). TERT-CLPM1L locus similar magnitude to those Conclusions: These results support contribution indicate region modifies well-established
