摘要: Summary Candidiosis is a mycosis that currently increasingly affecting the population in consequence of its frequency and severity complications, especially among immunocompromised hosts. In this work, vitro anticandidal activities two phenothiazines (PTZs), chlorpromazine (CPZ) trifluoperazine (TFP), their combinations with amphotericin B (AMB) were tested against 12 different Candida strains representing species (Candida albicans, glabrata, guillermondii, inconspicua, krusei, lusitaniae, lypolitica, norvegica, parapsilosis, pulcherrima, tropicalis zeylanoides). When used alone, both PTZs exerted antifungal effects these strains. combinations, AMB mainly acted antagonistically at higher concentrations, but additively synergistically lower concentrations as concerns clinically most important (C. albicans C. parapsilosis). For only synergistic interactions revealed between CPZ AMB. Synergistic, additive or no demonstrated investigated compounds for PTZ-susceptible glabrata to TFP krusei CPZ) insusceptible lypolitica TFP).
