摘要: We previously reported the isolation of PR2257, a novel replication defective avian sarcoma virus which transduced entire c-src coding region together with about 900 bp 3' non sequences. This originated from chicken induced by inoculation transformation-defective Rous carrying only replicative genes. The 5' end PR2257 was formed splice junction between viral leader sequences and first exon c-src. To understand mechanism recombination cellular sequences, we analyzed genomic organization in quail src DNA. report that this sequence is colinear cDNA. Therefore, 12, encodes last 68 amino acids c-src, also contains all present mRNA consequently, appears to be largest (about 2 kbp) show regions genes does not contain additional open reading frame (orf) (Dorai et al. (1991) Mol. Cell. Biol. 11, 4165-4176), no other significant conserved frames could found for both species. code another protein. Taken together, our results suggest generated at RNA level. However, because absence introns cannot formally rule out possibility took place DNA
