Effectiveness of the Open Screening Programs in Recruiting Subjects to Prodromal and Mild Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials.

摘要: Background and objectives Due to the lack of scientific data comparing success cost-effectiveness trial recruiting strategies, main goal this paper is present our results experiences in participants prodromal mild AD clinical trials from an open-access screening program. Design The procedure includes interview, combined tests administration conducted by experienced neuropsychologist: Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) Auditory-Verbal Learning Test (AVLT). evaluation was based on test scores, patient and/or caregiver health questionnaire. Settings program Wroclaw Alzheimer's Center for 18 months (2018-2019). We invited individuals age 50 or older with caregivers. total number subjects 730 (N=730). Measurements research, detection rates screened population were 0,7% severe dementia, 4,1% moderate 18,6% 28,9% cognitive impairment (MCI). From 347 classified programs as MCI dementia patients, many 248 patients disease trials, which 71,47%. Moreover, 63 selected randomized into 18,16%. Furthermore, (8,6%) trials. Conclusions Open-access can improve society, help distinguish demented non-demented elderly, recruitment who would probably not have come memory clinic otherwise.
