摘要: Abstract Some properties of castor oil such as extremely high viscosity and water content complicate the use neat (NCO) a fuel for compression ignition engines. The brake thermal efficiency, emission combustion characteristics diesel engine operation compared with is far inferior. However, has an affinity alcohol because Ricinoleic Acid about 89.5% hence mixes in any proportion without phase separation also easily blends oil. blending bio-ethanol enhances NCO. present study aims to obtain optimum ternary blend oil-diesel- bio-ethanol, which can be used small Experimental investigation reveals that oil-diesel-bio-ethanol volume ratio NCO40 + D30 + E30 optimum. At full load, efficiency operating 31.25%, closer 32.94% specific NO 6.11 g/kWh, whereas it 8.17 g/kWh diesel. smoke 68% opacity, but level base 57% opacity.
