摘要: Human neural transplants are being developed to treat Parkinson's disease. Previous characterization of human focused on neuronal development, while little is known the interaction between transplant and its environment, among which blood prime importance. We evaluated here formation vessels in xenografts placed into brain rats immunosuppressed with cyclosporin A. Using capillary wall markers, we found that remain virtually nonvascularized for more than 1 month. Angiogenesis takes place very slowly density still quite poor after 3 months, fine structure these capillaries, when they form, apparently normal. Functional studies indicate vascular network formed allows circulation exhibits a working barrier macromolecules. Glucose uptake consumption cytochrome oxidase activity almost undetectable up months grafting. These results demonstrate vascularization much delayed rat brain. This delay likely be dependent maturation transplanted tissue. A dedifferentiation endothelial cells cotransplanted occurs since histochemical immunocytochemical markers revealing fetus not present month transplant. The origin this phenomenon matter speculation. How survive mature such conditions issues interest future
