摘要: Over the past forty years or so endocrinologists have been actively studying actions of glucocorticoids on glucose metabolism. Most their efforts directed at stimulatory action hepatic gluconeogenesis. Largely neglected what I shall endeavor to show are equally important, and now well documented, inhibitory utilization by extrahepatic tissues. The widely accepted view that stimulation gluconeogenesis from amino acids accounts satisfactorily for most observed effects carbohydrate metabolism emerged during 1930s work ofBritton Silvette [1], Evans [2], ofLong his collaborators. It received definitive formulation in 1940 paper Long, Katzin Fry [3 ] has since served as a springboard almost all this area.
