摘要: The proper disposal of electrical and electronic waste is currently a concern researchers environmental managers not only because the large volume such generated, but also heavy metals toxic substances it contains. This study analyzed printed circuit boards (PCBs) from discarded computers to determine their metal content characterized them as solid fuel. analysis showed that PCBs consist approximately 26% metal, made up mainly copper, lead, aluminum, iron tin, well other cadmium nickel. Comparison with results studies indicated concentration precious (gold silver) has declined over time. Analysis leachate revealed high concentrations giving residue characteristics hazardous waste. After milling PCBs, we found larger amounts were concentrated in smaller fractions, while lightest fraction, obtained by density separation, had gross calorific value 11 MJ/kg, although ash content. Milling followed separation proved potentially useful for recovery energy-rich fractions.
