摘要: Cervical cancer/CC is the third commonest female malignancy worldwide. The aggressive growth and distal metastases are leading causes of CC mortality, which largely due to epithelial-mesenchymal transition/EMT. Fibroblast specific protein S100A4 promotes cancer metastasis epithelial type cadherin/E-cadherin play pivotal roles in cell-cell cell-extracellular matrix interaction. Therefore, expression patterns E-cadherin reflect statuses EMT carcinoma cells. However, its relevance with HPV16 infection cervical cancers remain unknown. This study aims address above issues using specimens. Immunohistochemistry reveals that levels mesenchymal marker upregulated (>++) adenocarcinomas/CACs (12/16; 75%) squamous cell carcinomas/CSCCs (23/28; 82%) than noncancerous glandular epithelia/GE (0/12; 0%) epithelia/SE 0%). Epithelial membranous remarkably reduced on surface CAC CSCC cells (P = 0.00; P = 0.00), especially those showing poorly differentiated phenotypes (P < 0.05) comparison their counterparts. Correlative analyses revealed an inverse relationship between among samples (P = 0.01, r = -0.38). level HPV16-infected group higher HPV16-free (P = 0.02). These results suggest close correlation upregulation formation reduction grades dedifferentiation. concurrent gain loss membrane tendency can be regarded as unfavorable prognostic parameter patients.
