摘要: Aircraft structures require periodic and scheduled inspection maintenance operations due to their special operating conditions the principles of design employed develop them. Therefore, structural health monitoring has a great potential reduce costs related these operations. Optical fiber sensors applied aircraft provide some advantages over traditional sensors. Several practical applications for engines we have been working on are reported in this article. Fiber Bragg gratings analyzed detail, because they proved constitute most promising technology field, two different alternatives strain measurements also described. With regard engine condition evaluation, present results obtained with reflected intensity-modulated optical sensor tip clearance timing turbine assembled wind tunnel.
