摘要: Adjuvant chemotherapy can be defined as the use of drugs immediately after local control therapy to attempt eradication residual micrometastatic disease. Conceptually, disease is presumed outside field surgical excision or area curative intent radiation therapy. designed eradicate established micrometastases a relatively new clinical research which began seriously considered in late 1960s and reached peak enthusiasm decade later. However, early promise adjuvant has not been fulfilled entire concept, its biological underpinnings, are now under re-evaluation.
