摘要: Abstract The ongoing process of global urbanization has shifted the discourse from ‘developmental mechanistic’ towards ‘sustainable and ecological’ view. Global cities must also transition toward more dynamic, sustainable, healthier smarter futures. However, supportive theories, trajectory agendas, methodologies pathways are currently under-investigated. This introductory paper provides an overview twenty-seven papers included in this special volume, with objective to document key lessons learned catalyze theoretical dialogue about evolution smart cities, healthy eco-cities, regenerative cities. These authors reviewed how these aspects evolving measured, monitored implemented across different geographic, time cultural contexts. After reviewing mapping obstacles enablers implementing transitions smarter, healthier, regenerative, post-fossil carbon, urban societies, article provide insights into practical examples best practices their implementation multiple social, climatic
