摘要: Species of the Metastrongylus genus, lung nematodes pigs that require an intermediate host (earthworm) to complete their cycle, pose a potential risk both livestock and humans. This parasite which can result in pathology mixed infections with other pathogens (e.g. viruses) be fatal pigs. Although this genus is distributed worldwide, there are no classification keys for identifying common species. In work, we take advantage parasitological surveys wild boar (Sus scrofa) northern central Spain southern Poland develop morphological identification key five most species (Metastrongylus apri, pudendotectus, salmi, confusus asymetricus). addition, provide first record M. Spain, probably unidentified until now due lack appropriate keys. We hope user-friendly will enable parasitologists veterinary practitioners avoid further misclassifications
