摘要: Background/Aims: Diabetes mellitus and pre-diabetes are closely associated with visceral obesity. Visceral adiposity index (VAI) is a novel sex-specific index, indirectly expressing adipose function. Our aim was to determine the associations of VAI dysglycemia (the combination diabetes pre-diabetes) compare predictive ability for between traditional obesity indices. Methods: We performed cross-sectional analysis data 2,754 Chinese community-dwelling people who participated in health checkup. Sex-specific tertile cut-off points were used as follows: 1.70, 2.77 males 0.98, 1.75 females. Binary logistic regression models estimate association higher values all indices diabetes. The area under curve (AUC) receiver operating characteristic (ROC) applied potential among Results: only significantly both sexes after adjusting confounders. results ROC AUC showed that possessed largest AUC, followed by other Conclusions: Higher positively presence adults.
