摘要: Abstract Seizures were induced in female Wistar rats by electroconvulsive shock (ECS) or administration of pentetrazole (PTZ). Brain content various prostanoids measured radioimmunoassay showed time-dependent changes after the induction convulsions; highest levels found for PGD 2 followed PGF 2α , PGE TXB and 6-keto-PGF 1α . Analysis arachidonic acid metabolites seven parts rat brain dissected according to method Glowinski Iversen revealed largest increases hippocampus cerebral cortex smaller ones also hypothalamus corpus striatum both ECS PTZ. The ratios different cyclo-oxygenase products remained virtually same whole as well those regions where formation prostaglandins was markedly elevated. 15-keto-13,14-dihydro-PGF increased simultaneously parallel its parent compound, detected significant amounts only cortex. However, concentrations these represented 3–10% Thus, metabolizing enzymes 15-hydroxy-PG-dehydrogenase Δ13-PG-reductase seem be minor importance inactivation tissue.
