摘要: The MHC of cattle encodes two distinct isotypes class II molecules, DR and DQ. Unlike humans, lack the DP locus about half common haplotypes express duplicated DQ genes. number frequency DQA DQB alleles means that most are heterozygous. If inter- and/or intrahaplotype pairing molecules occurs, carrying DQ-duplicated may more restriction elements than would be predicted by expressed alleles. We investigating whether cause differences in immune response, particularly terms generating protective immunity. have analyzed Ag-presenting function heterozygous animals, one which carries a haplotype. compared isotype specificity T cell clones recognizing putative vaccinal peptide from foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV15). show for first time bovine cells can recognize Ag context molecules. also present evidence interhaplotype pairings form functional elements. Both animals showed biases to usage particular Mainly DQ-restricted were derived animal with genes, whereas majority single gene pair restricted. Furthermore, haplotype bias was observed both animals. These experiments understanding chain addition knowledge genotype important vaccine design where effective epitope selection is essential.
