摘要: Skin undergoes dramatic age-related changes in its mechanical properties, including tissue hydration and resiliency. Proteoglycans are macromolecular conjugates of protein carbohydrate (glycosaminoglycan) which involved these properties. In order to examine whether skin proteoglycans may contribute the properties skin, from human various ages were extracted analyzed. Samples obtained two different fetal ages, mature senescent skin. As a function age, there is decrease proportion large chondroitin sulfate (versican) concomitant increase small dermatan (decorin). Based on reactivity with antibodies epitopes, versican differs found older respect chains. Also, decorin slightly larger, while shows greater polydispersity both size charge mass ratio. There also differences core proteins decorin. The most pronounced change appearance proteoglycan smaller than decorin, but has same amino terminal acid sequence as This abundant be catabolic fragment or an alternatively spliced form light known ability influence collagen fibrillogenesis fibril diameter, this decorin-related have significant effect elasticity. observation that show suggests physical
