摘要: To determine the value of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene amplification as a biological prognostic indicator in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, EGFR was determined by slot-blot hybridization using DNA extracted from formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded blocks tissues 107 carcinoma who had undergone curative surgery. Results were analyzed both univariate multivariate statistical analysis. greater than 3-fold detected primary tumors 13 (12%) cases. The cumulative survival rate for significantly lower that without (P < 0.001). A significant correlation observed between extensive lymph node involvement at time surgery 0.05). In analysis, = 0.015) vascular invasion 0.003) proved to retain independent values. These results suggest may be useful marker prediction metastasis poorer prognosis carcinoma.
