摘要: Abstract Background & Aims: Epidermal growth factor receptor belongs to the family of type I tyrosine kinases. Overexpression epidermal has been observed in a variety cancers with or without amplification gene. Novel chemotherapies targeting kinases might be effective for treatment which overexpression this protein is feature. The aim study was assess potential efficacy receptor-targeted therapy gastric cancer. This achieved by determining frequency increased expression and investigating relationship between gene amplification. Methods: Immunohistochemical evaluation 413 carried out using monoclonal antibody receptor. intensity reactivity scored 4-tier system (negative, 1+, 2+, 3+). All positive staining (>1+) tumors overexpressing were then analyzed fluorescence situ hybridization gene-specific probe. Results: High levels (2+ 3+ staining) found 9 (2.2%) patients, whereas low (1+) 34 (8.2%) cohort. Fluorescence analysis showed that more than 10 copies recognized all 5 2 4 2+ staining. Conclusions: Although high level uncommon carcinomas, it almost exclusively occurs
