摘要: Isolated epithelial cells from disaggregated rat BCG granulomas show a morphological spectrum "plasmacytoid" to "vesicular" froms on electron microscopy. Functional studies these isolated showed that all exhibited poor trypsin-resistant glass adherence and phagocytosis of latex, zymosan, antibody coated complement erythrocytes when compared with macrophages, especially at the vesicular end spectrum. A high proportion epithelioid cell types was found have Fc surface receptors but C3 were reduced plasmacytoid variety. The findings indicate progressive transformation mononuclear phagocytes into through intermediates is accompanied by concomitant modification function. significance changes discussed.
