摘要: Optical radiation observed under medium-energy ion bombardment of metals, is described. Mechanisms formation excited states in the sputtering process are discussed. The main theoretical models, based upon recent experimental investigations ion-induced photon emission reviewed. Special attention paid to broadband optical and model describing this phenomenon. Some aspects practical applications for surface diagnostics
