摘要: Coral skeleton is a naturally porous material. This biomaterial nowadays currently used in humans as bone graft substitute. Its open porosity provides large area for potential cell adhesion and this reason fibroblastic proliferation into material was investigated. McCoy's human fibroblasts were cultured on coral specimens; viability propagation evaluated by the means of an MTT test manual counting. Due to porosity, numerous technical adjustments necessary ensure acceptable development evaluation populations. Cell population every 3 days over 24-day period. When compared growth culture membranes, grew slower during early time periods, but increased 2.2 times that controls from 12th day after seeding. Natural seems offer suitable surface could be interesting alternative synthetic substrates traditionally purpose.
