摘要: In fish, two different genes, shbga and shbgb, exist that encode for very proteins. Shbga is the ortholog of mammalian Shbg was found in all investigated teleosts. contrast, Shbgb highly divergent appears to be a salmonid-specific protein. Here, we review existing data on fish have been obtained chondrichthyes osteichtyes. Even though other significant expression sites exist, indicate mainly expressed liver subsequently secreted into blood as homodimer. ovary, probably monomer, could contribute regulation local steroid action. Binding studies specialization circulating during evolution towards preferential binding estradiol testosterone specific steroids such 11-oxo-androgens oocyte maturation-inducing are crucial reproduction poorly bound by either form Shbg.
