摘要: The use of smokeless tobacco (moist snuff) products is associated with mucosal lesions, gingival recession, attachment loss, and oral cancer. Despite numerous reports on the general toxic effects extract, little information available regarding specific immune response. Inflammatory cytokines released as a result tobacco-induced irritation may play role in development lesions at habitual placement sites users. Consequently, purpose this study was to determine whether an aqueous extract (STE) affects secretion tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin -1β (IL-1β), proliferation lymphocytes. A macrophage cell line (J774-A1) used measure STE (TNF-α) (IL-1β) secretion. Mouse splenocytes were assess lymphocyte proliferation. We found that low concentrations enhanced production both TNF-α IL-1β. Furthermore, similar mitogen-induced murine splenocyte Overall, these data suggest upregulated two key proinflammatory also induces
