摘要: The effects of cadmium (Cd) were evaluated in offspring exposed from birth until weaning (neonatal day 0-21) and 4 weeks after exposure cessation focusing on iron (Fe) zinc (Zn) levels organs hematological parameters. Wistar female rats administered 50mg Cd/L drinking water (Cd-exposed) for before mating during 3 gestation plus lactation. Controls supplied water. At birth, part Cd-exposed dams' litters was cross-fostered to control dams (CCd group) their (CdC group). This procedure enabled discern the gestational, lactational gestational Cd F1 offspring. Elements analyzed by atomic absorption spectrometry; parameters manually; histopathological changes light microscopy. Gestational increased decreased Fe levels, Zn body weights 11- 21-day pups. In weanling pups, red blood cell (RBC) count, hemoglobin hematocrit values reticulocytes peripheral also found with concomitant finding extramedullary hematopoiesis liver. pups pups), liver 11 kidney 21 whereas pups) brain 21. Regardless at weaning, weights, RBC remained puberty. Furthermore liver, brain. It concluded that caused decreases hematotoxic more pronouncedly than either or period alone adverse maternally mediated continued into adulthood.
