摘要: Peptide identification via tandem mass spectrometry sequence database searching is a key method in the array of tools available to proteomics researcher. The ability rapidly and sensitively acquire data perform peptide protein identifications has become commonly used analysis technique because advances both instrumentation software. Although many different search are currently from academic commercial sources, these algorithms share similar core elements while maintaining distinctive features. This review revisits mechanism discusses how various parameter settings impact underlying search.
