摘要: The payment of a compensation as response to damage livestock is measure used by policy-makers attenuate severe human–wildlife conflicts, which allows that economic burden be shared with the rest society. This study focuses on case wolf depredation in county Viana do Castelo, located north Portugal. Wolf attacks are frequent county, results high expenditure current scheme for owners. Nevertheless, illegal killing wolves continues occur area. paper aims evaluate attitudes general public, owners and hunters towards existing presence Castelo.
