摘要: Abstract The potential of the micoparticulate, chemically bonded N-acetylaminopropylsilica stationary phase nominal pore diameter 100 angstroms in high speed gel permeation chromatography polypeptides and small proteins has been further investigated. influence ionic strength on elution behaviour a selected group this hydrophilic support examined. results obtained with porous, microparticulate ‘amide’ silica support, packed into standard analytical-size stainless steel HPLC columns, indicate that milligram quantities protein swith molecular mass up to 45,000-50,000 daltons can be efficiently fractionated excellent recoveries biological activities. role silica-based sorbents fractionation polypeptide hormones, including those pituitary hypothalamic origin, is discussed.
