摘要: The choice of technologies used to remediate contaminated environments are increasingly made via engagement with affected local residents. Despite this, little is known about how residents perceive remediation technology applications. Building on the findings broader worry research, and drawing data from a telephone survey 2009 living near thirteen sites in Australia, regression analysis closed-ended questions coding open-ended combined identify main predictors worries concerning particular technologies, affects them. This suggests respondents more worried application chemical than physical thermal which turn caused biotechnology. paper that these can be reduced direct suggesting such provide knowledge improves decisions.
