摘要: We investigated whether carvedilol protects against experimental autoimmune myocarditis (EAM) attributing to antioxidant properties. Acute EAM was induced by porcine cardiac myosin in Lewis rats. orally administered a vehicle, various dosages of carvedilol, metoprolol, or propranolol rats with for 3 weeks. Three β-blockers decreased heart rates the same extent. Carvedilol, but not metoprolol propranolol, markedly reduced severity at two different dosages. Only myocardial protein carbonyl contents, and also thiobarbituric acid reactive substance products EAM. Accordingly, acute rats, this superior cardioprotective effect may be due properties addition hemodynamic modifications.
