摘要: Microsatellite instability (replica tion error [RER]-positive phenotype) is a frequent ge netic alteration in gastric carcinomas. The clinical rela tionship between RER-positive and RER-negative tumors Is poorly characterized. aim of this study was to investigate the relationship number altered microsatellite loci clinico pathologic features carcinoma. Methods: Five or 6 were analyzed 61 carcinomas using polymerase chain reaction. Results: Twenty-one (34.4%) had microsateilite in stability: 7 at 1 locus, 2 loci, 12 multiple loci. comparison three groups (with none, 2, more than loci) showed that with share differ from those latter all intestinal atypical subtype lower DNA content, prominent lymphoid infiltration, less prevalent nodal metastases other two groups. pa tients showing better prognosis. Conclusions: finding single few does not qualify case as mutator phenotype clini cal standpoint. Gastric have particular clinicopathologic profile lead ing outcome.
