摘要: Objective: While the use of fine needle aspiration (FNA) in diagnosis gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) is well-established, it can be difficult to predict prognosis GIST based on morphology alone. The objective current study was determine if expression bcl-2, Ki-67 and p53 correlated with outcome GISTs cytological material. Methods: Cell-blocks from 14 diagnosed by FNA were retrieved. Immunostaining performed antibodies against p53. All diagnoses confirmed positive immunostaining c-kit and/or subsequent histological evaluation. Positivity for defined as presence ≥10% cytoplasmic staining, ≥5% nuclear staining respectively. Results: patients consisted seven males females a mean age 58 years. average follow-up interval 46 months. Six had benign course eight developed recurrences/metastases. Thirteen (93%) cases showed bcl-2. Positive noted one (7%) (50%) respectively. difference between aggressive non-aggressive statistically significant. No significant bcl-2 or labelling index two groups. Conclusions: According our observations, may useful predicting FNA; are not prognostic markers specimens.
