摘要: Background and Objective Inhibitors of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) have been well investigated in human cancers, where they are frequently overexpressed associated with poor prognosis. Here we explored the role baculoviral IAP repeat containing 6 (BIRC6), a member IAPs, colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods We used Western blotting immunohistochemistry to examine BIRC6 expression 7 CRC cell lines 126 clinical samples. We determined biological significance by lentivirus-mediated silencing method. Results reported that was tissues. overexpression correlated tumor size invasion depth CRC. is worse overall survival (OS) (P = 0.001) shorter disease-free (DFS) 0.010). knockdown inhibited proliferation, arrested cycle at S phase, downregulated cyclin A2, B1, D1 E1 levels, sensitized cells chemotherapy vitro vivo. Conclusions Taken together, these data suggests predictor prognosis could be potential target therapy.
