摘要: The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFr) is a transmembrane glycoprotein detected on many cells and tissues including neoplastic normal kidney. EGFr binds the mitogenic polypeptide hormone (EGF) as well EGF-related transforming factor-alpha (TGF-alpha). Increases in gene expression protein production have been implicated development of malignant phenotype for certain cancers. To determine if alterations are present human renal cell carcinoma, paired samples tissue from ten patients with advanced carcinoma were analyzed mRNA content by Northern blot hybridization. was constitutively expressed 90% kidney samples. In seven out nine evaluable patients, tumors 1.7 to 8.4 times more than corresponding tissue. These findings suggest that overexpression may be associated transformation carcinomas.
