摘要: Cancer stem cells (CSC), or cancer with cell properties, have been reported in many human tumors and are thought to be responsible for tumor initiation, therapy resistance, progression, relapse, metastasis. Despite their potential clinical importance, how CSCs regulated at the molecular level is not well understood. MicroRNAs (miRNA), small noncoding RNAs that play critical roles normal functions during development, emerged as important regulators of well. In this review, we summarize current major findings miRNA regulation various discuss our recent miR-34a suppresses prostate metastasis by directly repressing CD44. This progress has implications understanding intricately networks miRNAs developing novel mechanism-based therapeutics specifically target CSCs.
