摘要: Abstract Managers face limited options when dealing with problems created by urban wildlife. Destroying an animal that is perceived to be a nuisance sometimes acceptable; at other times destroying the may controversial. This paper uses structural norm approach develop standards for agency's use of lethal response problem The describes three characteristics public wildlife management norms (range acceptable situations, intensity, and agreement) shows how these affected different situational contexts (impact severity) species. Three species (beavers, coyotes, mountain lions) are examined across continuum situation ranging from seeing in residential area killing person.
