摘要: Oviductins belong to a family of oviduct-specific glycoproteins believed play an important role in fertilization and/or early embryonic development. Oviductin cDNA between species is highly conserved and shares 58% 98% similarity the deduced amino acid sequences. Our objective this study was sequence full open reading frame feline oviductin examine its expression during estrous cycle on both mRNA protein level. The obtained containing determined be 1677 nucleotides coding for 558 acids. Identities range from 74% (mouse) 80% (human, baboon, rhesus) within N-terminal region. Major differences were localized carboxy terminal region, which corresponds exon 11 gene. Feline contained one putative N-linked glycosylation site, six O-linked sites, potential heparin binding two cholesterol recognition interaction consensus (CRAC) domains. analyzed by real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) immunohistochemistry. Both approaches revealed cycle-dependent ampulla isthmus. Quantitative PCR showed highest copy numbers late follicular stage reduced all other stages. With exception stage, abundance not significantly different oviductal segments A prominent immunolabeling seen disappeared after ovulation, indicating function sperm storage fertilization.
