摘要: Background In patients with left ventricular dysfunction, atrial fibrillation and flutter (AF AFl, respectively) are common arrhythmias associated increased morbidity mortality. The present study investigated the potential of dofetilide in AF-AFl dysfunction to restore maintain sinus rhythm, which might reduce mortality hospitalizations. Methods Results Danish Investigations Arrhythmia Mortality ON Dofetilide (DIAMOND) studies, 506 were at baseline. Over course study, cardioversion occurred 148 (59%) dofetilide- 86 (34%) placebo-treated patients. these patients, probability maintaining rhythm for 1 year was 79% versus 42% placebo (P<0.001). had no effect on all-cause mortality, but restoration maintenance significant reduction (risk ratio [RR], 0.44; 95% CI, 0.30 0.64; P<0.0001). addition, dofetilid...
