摘要: ABSTRACT Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sulfatide concentrations were analyzed in 18 patients with asymptomatic HIV-1 infection, 16 AIDS who free from opportunistic infections the central nervous system (CNS), 12 HIV-1-infected CNS or lymphoma, and 19 HTV-negative controls, by thin-layer chromatography overlay technique using an antisulfatide antibody to estimate metabolic turnover of myelin. The majority had normal CSF concentrations, but mean concentration was still elevated compared that HIV-negative controls (152 99 nmol/liter, p < 0.05). group (mean 395 nmol/liter) significantly increased those (p 0.01) 0.001), did not differ between without dementia.
