摘要: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease that results from the destruction of β cells pancreas in genetically at-risk individuals. The process precedes development T1D believed to be triggered by environmental factors, including nutrition. Early introduction complementary foods has been implicated etiology as a possible explanation increasing incidence disease, particularly children younger than 5 years age. Infant feeding recommendations have designed promote adequate growth, provide essential nutrients, and reduce risk developing chronic illnesses. World Health Organization American Academy Pediatrics recommend exclusive breastfeeding 6 months age followed continued are introduced. A lack compliance with these observed general population well infants at high for T1D. Dietary factors such provision breast milk duration breastfeeding, cow's gluten-containing foods, other investigated. However, evidence early infant patterns linked currently remains inconclusive.
