摘要: The effects of different catchment types and storage conditions on Pseudomonas aeruginosa in harvested rainwater under wet dry seasons were investigated. Both horizontal (roof intercepted to outlet point) vertical (surface bottom) quality variation inside tanks harvesting (RWH) systems was also monitored. numbers P. varied from 30 400 colony forming units (CFU)/100 mL during the season 200 1800 CFU/100 mL season. A relatively good observed revealed best at supply point. number highest (about 1000 CFU/100 mL seasons, respectively) mountain while lowest seen concrete roof catchment. Dark, covered resulting low temperatures showed better microbial than uncovered open exposed light. study suggests that improvement is possible when appropriate tank designs, maintenance surfaces, proper are considered RWH systems.
