摘要: Although extensive studies have suggested that an individual's predisposition to develop autoantibodies thyroid peroxidase (TPOAb) and thyroglobulin (TgAb) has a genetic component, recent report growth restriction during fetal life may also contribute. We therefore measured TPOAb TgAb in population-based study of twins (44 monozygous 91 dizygous) born between 1950 1955 who were identified through registry birth records Birmingham, United Kingdom. by highly sensitive immunoprecipitation assay which 0.01 U/mL 0.1 U/mL, respectively, detectable. found 49 156 (31%) women 7 116 (6%) men with similar values for (31% 9%, respectively). Of 28 pairs, 10 concordant discordant giving probandwise concordance rate 74%. Concordance rates (64%) higher than dizygous twins. Monozygous had prevalence (30% vs. 17%, p = 0.01). In addition, we where there was discordance size within twin the smaller (p Our results suggest both heritable early environmental components contribute susceptibility autoimmunity.
