摘要: The spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and parasites calls for the development new therapeutic strategies with could potentially reverse this trend. Here, a proposal is presented to exploit sonochemical method restore antibiotic activity tetracycline (TTCL) against resistant by converting into nanoparticulate form. demonstrated allows nanoscale TTCL assembly be driven supramolecular hydrogen bond formation, no further modification antibiotic's chemical structure. It shown that nanoparticles (TTCL NPs) can act as antibacterial agents, both sensitive bacterial strains. Moreover, synthesized (NPs) effective gene-silencing agents through use repressor in Trypanosome brucei parasites. NPs are nontoxic human cells T. able release their monomer components an active form manner results enhanced antimicrobial relative homogeneous solution precursor monomer. As biocompatible biodegradable, formation represents promising approach generation pharmaceutically nanomaterials.
