摘要: Abstract Introduction There has been compelling evidence for the role of oxidative stress in pathogenesis cardiovascular complications type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). We analyzed association C242T and Val762Ala polymorphisms NADPH oxidase p22phox poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) genes respectively with coronary artery disease (CAD) its severity, myocardial infarction (MI) risk factors T2DM patients. Materials methods screened 283 patients, inclusive 160 angiographically defined CAD, 73 89 without MI 121 individuals no CAD two gene polymorphisms. Results The 242T 762Ala alleles were significantly more frequent subjects than those thereby associating them a significant protective effect against development [p=0.002 (C242T); 0.02 (Val762Ala)]. was further characterized by relatively lower frequency patients multi (MVD)/triple vessel [p=0.003 Conversely, genotype allele frequencies these not different T2DM+CAD or MI. Stratification putative revealed interaction Multiple logistic regression analysis independent other CAD/MVD individuals. Conclusions Our observations indicate relationship between PARP-1 polymorphisms, but occurrence stenoses.
