摘要: Background and aims Cachexia is a syndrome characterized by marked involuntary loss of body weight. Recently, adipose tissue (AT) wasting has been shown to occur before the appearance other classical cachexia markers. We investigated composition rearrangement extracellular matrix, adipocyte morphology inflammation in subcutaneous AT (scAT) pad gastrointestinal cancer patients. Methods Surgical biopsies for scAT were obtained from patients, who signed up into following groups: (CC, n = 11), weight-stable (WSC, n = 9) control (non-cancer) (control, n = 7). The stable weight groups considered as those with no important change during last year mass index <25 kg/m2. Subcutaneous fibrosis was quantified quantitative PCR, histological analysis immunohistochemistry. Results The degree distribution collagen types (I III) different WSC CC patients. patients showed more pronounced comparison WSC. Infiltrating macrophages surrounding adipocytes CD3 Ly found fibrotic areas scAT. demonstrated increased monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1) Cluster Differentiation (CD)68 gene expression patients. Conclusions Our data indicate architectural modification consisting inflammatory cell infiltration induced latter presence lymphocytes, evident areas. In addition, MCP-1 CD68 may an role these markers early phases cancer.
