摘要: Abstract Two experimental methods for measuring the erosion yield of condensed gases are described. One, frequency-change method, utilizes a quartz-crystal microbalance operating at liquid-helium temperature. The other, emissivity-change method is based on strongly varying electron emission as function condensed-gas film thickness. Satisfactory results have been obtained both solid Ne and D 2 energies up to 3 keV, mutual agreement good well. Accurate measurements affected critically by beam conditions, particularly if depends has measured dominant sputtering ( ≈ 28 Ne-atoms/electron) well beam-induced evaporation keV. In latter case clear lateral broadening spot observed.
