摘要: Abstract Changes in the cell, nuclear, nucleolar dry masses and areas were monitored simultaneously during vitro senescence of WI-38 human fetal lung fibroblast cells, results analyzed statistically. There was a two-step increase all six parameters studied, following an initial decrease. The patterns strikingly similar for measures, i.e. , lag period followed by sharp increase, plateau final, abrupt increase. In cases, there strong correlation between corresponding area mass measurements each cell component. mass/area ratio also increased as function aging ultimately doubled value. Weak intrapassage correlations nuclear indicated that passage to differences relative rates increases which not apparent over long periods growth. interdependent until last doubling where they independently. standard deviation indicating heterogeneity cells these parameters.
