摘要: Abstract This study investigates the relationship between soil sealing and landscape conservation in four Mediterranean regions (Athens, Barcelona, Lisbon, Rome) characterized by different patterns of urban expansion. Per-capita sealed land, a index selected territorial variables were considered into multivariate exploratory framework aimed at assessing correlation land-use efficiency (based on degree per-capita) quality suburban landscape. A population density gradient with intensity land decreasing distance from central city was observed compact such as Athens Barcelona. mixed Rome Lisbon. In all cities spatial distribution per-capita not correlated indicating that consumption follows place-specific irrespective quality. These findings suggest containment are policy targets requiring environmental measures prevailing morphology region (compact vs dispersed). this context, green infrastructure planning is promising tool for within fragile dynamic contexts wildland-urban interface.
