摘要: Much evidence has shown that the inferior colliculus may be part of a brain system commanding defensive behavior. In present work, is presented for serotonergic modulation neural substrate aversive states elaborated in this structure. Rats implanted with cannula were tested on elevated plus-maze. Microinjections zimeldine, 5-HT uptake blocker, produced increases percentage open arm entries and time spent arms. 8-OH-DPAT, 5-HT(1A) agonist, alpha-methyl-5-hydroxytryptamine, highly selective 5-HT(2) injected directly into also clear anxiolytic-like effects dose-dependent manner. Based these results we suggest pharmacological interference mechanisms produce antiaversive effects.
