摘要: Abstract The initial dissociative sticking probability of H 2 and D on Cu(110) has been studied using hot nozzle seeded supersonic molecular beams. Experiments with the pure beams indicate a higher for over at particular translational energy or temperature. relative contributions vibrational in accessing barrier to dissociation is separated vibrationally hot, translationally cold results which can be accessed through partition both degrees freedom impinging molecule. onset ( v = 1) 130 meV, 2) 60 meV. are shown excellent agreement classical quantum mechanical trajectory calculations this surface based “late barrier” height 600–700 near value predicted theoretically.
